You are travelling...

In Marktoberdorf, wanderers and pilgrims will get into their gear.

We are offering a large variety of wandering trails, leaving nothing to be desired. Family tours like the Klobunzele-Trail, a comfortable walk in the Linden alley or a day trip on the wandering trilogy of the Allgäu. Every tour is documented in our wandering guide and roadmap “Wandern im Ostallgäu”, available at the tourism office.

Special offers for wanderers are given by some hosts like Ms. Rößle with her 4 star-holiday home.

But there is more: Two pilgrim trails are running through the city of Marktoberdorf: The Jakobs-Pilgrim-Trail from Munich as well as the Martinus-Trail. Gorgeous trails waiting for you. There are a couple of stations where pilgrims can get their the Jakobs-Pilgrims-Stamps. The tourism office is one of those stations.

Marktoberdorf – premium location for cyclists.

The ADFC (German Bicycle Association) certified the Ostallgäu as one of the best and most popular cycling destinations in Germany. The “Schlosspark” - Palace Gardens and the high quality are speaking for themselves. Marktoberdorf offers not one but many quality tours like Oberdorfer Radlrunde (Oberdorfer cycling circuit) or the Dampflokrunde (steam-train-tour). Both of them guiding you right to the various city districts - across green hills and along some pick nick-places, inviting for a relaxing brake.

There is more to come. The cycling tour of the Allgäu is a four star certified tour running through Marktoberdorf as well. This tour will guide you throughout the whole Allgäu. Roadmaps for cycling tours are available at the tourism office.
